After Chattooga Fest we had several fun outings and adventures prior to Brooke and Cody arriving for the summer in early June:

The famous “Wild and Scenic” Chattooga River is nearly in our backyard, so Scott and I jumped at the opportunity to participate in the Foothills Paddling Club’s annual Chattooga Fest tradition.

40 miles northeast of Gainesville, Florida, in the small tucked away town of Fort White, there exists a 6 mile river named the Ichetucknee.

In early January Scott and I left South Carolina and headed south for a week to take advantage of the sunshine and balmy temps of central Florida.

Immediately after the Pickens Glow Run that we ran in October, Scott and I signed up for another 5k- this time it was a turkey trot in downtown Greenville to benefit Trees Upstate, a non-profit devoted to “planting, promoting, and protecting” trees in the Upstate.
