Running

Cooper River Bridge Run

Scott and I put on our running shoes before sunrise on a chilly morning in early April and got dropped off in downtown Charleston to board a bus that would take us across the river and to the starting corrals in Mount Pleasant to que up with 26,736 other excited runners for the 47th annual Cooper River Bridge 10k Run.

Juniper Springs

It seems as though every time Scott and I explore and paddle a new-to-us clear water river in Florida for the first time we declare it our new favorite Florida river.

Silver Springs in the Fall

We were invited to Ocala, Florida in early November for a birthday bash weekend honoring our friend Alex turning 40.

Lowcountry Paddle

We traded out our usual whitewater boats in favor of a canoe on a late October weekend for an enjoyable paddle out to Capers Island Heritage Preserve, a barrier island off the coast of the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The Chilhowee Recreation Area located in the Cherokee National Forest near Benton, TN was host to the Foothills Paddling Club’s 2023 EastTennessee Pilgrimage.
